I NEVER make pierogies and would like some ideas of what else I could make with them. Any suggestions please?

  • Polish sausage goes good with them. So does cabbage.

    it's great for potlucks.

  • Yum!! I LOVE pierogies! I usually cook them in oil until brown (they are good steamed too!) and serve them with sour cream. Any kind of vegetable side(my favorite is broccoli!) goes well, and perhaps some kind of protien (fish or chicken or beans).

  • We always just have them on the side of some big holiday dinner, lol.  It's the only time I get them.  I remember my mom made them from scratch one time when I was a kid.

I like the cheesy potato ones the best.  We sautee ours in butter and onion until brown and slightly crispy on the edges.
