What is the best way to clean vinyl flooring?

  • Vinyl flooring is the worst! We have some in our rental and it always seemed like it was sticky no matter what cleaner we used. But this seems to work for me.... a damp greenie and Comet-hand scrub the floor. You only have to do this once every few months, so the effort is worth it. Follow it up by mopping with Pine-Sol diluted in water OR bleach diluted in water (to disinfect and rub away the grittyness of the comet). Continue to mop at least once every week or every other week, and your floor will be great!

  • I just sweep, dust mop, then damp mop once in a while with warm water and a little ammonia. Don't have to rinse, and they are no wax, so that's it.
