Dating a single dad?

How many of you single moms (or no longer single moms) have dated a single dad?
I'm starting to see one, and he's very nice. I love that we can talk about issues regarding our boys without having to explain too much.

Any advice, other than take it slow?

  • Be happy! Take it one day at a time. Get to know each other well. Then make sure to include the children. Good Luck!

  • I really don't have a lot of advice for you, other than I have a cousin who is a single dad, and he has a very hard time dating. Seems as if his son scares women off. But honestly I think that shows that he is a good man in at least on aspect of his life. I wish you luck.

  • We have mutual friends, so the boys are going to meet each other at some point regardless.

  • Keep it simple when including the kids until you have strong grounds. Enjoy yourself!

  • I have never been married and have no children. Dating a single dad of two. All I can say is that you have to pay attention and take things at an appropriate pace. It's not fair to any kids to have random people in their lives. until you think it's a for sure thing, I'd not meet the kids.
