going to stop nursing...... my 17 month old..

had a nice run.. :) but im going to stop.. its been about .... 20 hours so far...

and she keeps tapping on them or asking for a boobie... and then whining :(

any words of wisdom? lol

  • Taper off, rather than go cold turkey; it will be easier for both of you.

  • i cutback to just to night.... then slowly cut back a bit on that.. now im guna stop altogether....

  • idk, with my middle child i made a song about boobies are for babies and about how he's a big boy now. i like to make up songs lol, but it did help. it gave him something to think about other than being sad about not nursing anymore

  • maybe she's not ready. do you really want to force her to stop nursing when she's not ready to? why not try again in a week? she only nurses at night anyway, right?

  • ive tried about 3 times before this.... ive slowly stopped i decided im just going to stop this time for good.
