  • My mom got me 16 red roses. Her dad got her $16 one dollar bills. He actually got each of his children 16 of something on their 16th birthday, a tradition my mom kept up. I will do the same with my son in 2 years. Just be creative.

  • I don't know what price you want to spend. But jewelry is always nice. Gift cards for a place she really likes. A big bouquet of flowers that have a Sweet 16 balloon in them. Something special that she likes to collect. A more expensive type perfume. Basket of body washes, lotions etc. A gift certificate for a facial and hair day at a spa (something you could together too)

  • Depending on how much you want to spend...an iPod or MP3 player if she doesn't have one, an eReader like the Nook Wi-Fi, or if you are really generous, go all out and get her an iPad! You would be the coolest grandma ever! But you could also give her money or gift cards so she can buy clothes or makeup.

  • I got my DD a digital camera, her Grandpa gave her an ipod, and her friends are giving her itunes gcs. Party today with 14 teenagers...pool, water balloons, pinata, hot dogs and hamburgers, fire & marshmallows, and fireworks to end it! The party could certainly be enough if funds are limited. I love tyfry's 16 roses idea!
