  • My 7yo daughter collects stuffed dogs.  It started when she was about 18 months with a stuffed Jack Russel that looked like the neighbor's dog.  She named it Mocha after the real dog.  Since then every birthday/holiday she has gotten some kind of stuffed dog.  She lost some of them in a move a few years ago but has over a dozen of them in various sizes.  She just loves dogs.

  • My youngest collects just about anything that doesn't get up and leave. We also do the pressed penny collecting (I collect as much as the kids on that one, though). My kids both seem to prefer to collect "found" things like bottle caps and bits of nature like rocks, shells, etc.

  • When my oldest daughter was about 10-11 (she's 18 now)....the big thing to collect was Pokemon cards. She still has them, but they're stuffed in the closet. My youngest daughter (10) has now started collecting the Silly Bandz...they're a big rage right now. I have a hard time saying "no" to buying them, 'cause I have a small fortune invested in the Pokemon cards, so it's only fair that she get the same "investment"...right?
