  • I have learned a lot on my own. I didn't go to college. Honestly, I know plenty of people who did go to college in the animal field and I know more than they do and have better natural instincts.

  • On my own. I was a business major, so I only took one class even remotely related to animals: Zoology.

  • I worked in veterinary medicine all through HS and college, so I'd say that's where I learned the most. That said, I've learned a lot about horses since then because I'm constantly doing research or attending seminars at the veterinary school to keep up to date.

  • I worked at a pet hospital from my Jr. Year in HS til just recently, so i've learned a lot about animals there, and in my own research. My college major was criminal justice - obviously not animal related at all! lol.

  • I have learned from researching, reading, talking to breeders, owners, handlers, going to conferences and shows. I have also learned from being involved in rescue, volunteering at shelters, walking dogs and mentoring under breeders as well.

I didn't finish college because I chose to do something I didn't want to do to make other people happy.
