if you were to have a daughter and you knew she was your last child and your dh really wanted to name a child after his grandfather would you give her his name as a middle name?

    Why not name her Georgie or Georgia? It's still a tribute to him even if it's a feminine version of his name.

  • Maybe if you used it as a more female sounding name to represent George. I would not like my parents if that was my middle name... Everyone would laugh at graduation and it would be embarrassing.

  • Sure. My mom's middle name is Curtis. If sounds nice with the first name you choose. In any event, many people give their maiden names as middle names so what's the difference?

  • oh sure...why not...and...a child can have more than one middle name you know...mine have two middle names...and all my neices & nephews have two middle names...LOL!
    all my daughters were named after someone. it's quiet a special link to family!
