  • It should be for survival, but for most people - deffinetely for me - it's consumed for pleasure.

  • survive, but also fun because people are interested in baking, making speciality cakes, grilling and BBQ enthuasists, ect

  • It's for survival....but why not enjoy it at the same time? Food brings people together, and not just for survival!

  • food and eating feeds the soul as much as it feeds the body. When you consume food in ways where it does not also nourish the soul thats when you get fat like me. Of course, that's my opinion.

  • Why can't it be both? We need it to survive but there's no reason we can't enjoy it and take interest in growing, preparing, or presenting it in a beautiful way! A colorful salad, an eye-pleasing plate, a beautifully decorated cake...they please as well as nourish!

  • i love to cook and eat, So for me its an interest. It would be pretty boring eating the same thing everyday just to survive
