My first daughter was born at 37 weeks and was 6lbs 14oz. When I was 32 weeks(I am 34 now) our daughter was weighing 7lbs 3oz. I am going to be induced in 2 weeks and am TERRIFIED this baby is going to be humungous!

  • That's not terribly big...my son was 9 lbs 4.7 oz and I did it natural with no meds. You'll be fine as long as you relax and have a good doctor! Good luck!

  • ds#2 weighed 9#14 at birth. i delivered vaginally w/ no meds.

you can't go by the measurements at the end of pregnancy. they are very inaccurate. weight can be off as much as 5 lbs.
trust your body. you can deliver any size baby. my great aunt had a 15lb baby at home. it can be done.

  • At 38 weeks, she was measured to be 9 lbs 6 oz. They induced and she came out 7lbs 5oz. I would never induce again just because of her weight as they are not 100% accurate.
