Getting Passport for my 5 months

I am planning to take my daughter to visit her grandpa in Taiwan at the end of year. And going to get the birth certificate soon. After that I will apply US passport for her. Do I need to take a picture of my baby in order to get the passport? Is it too late to do now if we are going out of country at the end of year?

  • Here is a link to a government site on how to get a passport for a kid.

  • No it's not too late and yes you will need two passport photos. I got both of my sons theirs at Sears Portrait Studio. It takes about 13 wks (although depends where you live) to get a passport after you apply although there is always the option to expedite the process...just costs more.
