Do you consider moms who work from home, to be SAHM?

For some reason I consider them to be SAHM's. I know it may not sound fair but I know they are working but they are also at home. so I go with SAHM.

  • I'm a work from home mom, I do not consider myself a SAHM as a SAHM only has one full time job, I have two, at the same time. I used to go to the office a few days a week, but we can no longer afford preschool costs, luckily my company allows us to telecommute. I am pulled in so many directions it is not even funny. Yes, there are perks, I don't have to take a sick day for a sick child, but I am doing it all at the same time and it is really really hard. Everyone thinks its all wonderful and great, but I'll tell you right now, my life was much much easier when I went to the office a few days. I do not work for myself in some of these schemes I see all over cafe mom, I have an employer and bosses and co-workers who rely on me every day. Add a 5 and 3 year old on top of that and well, I'm tired. Again, yes there are perks, but there are more perks to working outside the home and there are more perks just being a SAHM.

  • No because I cannot take care of the kids while I work, I can not even leave my desk without asking for permission, I work all day and do mommy stuff as well, I am pulled in many different directions, I am just not a SAHM,

  • Work at home Mom. WAHM.
My mother worked from home and nothing ever got done, house work or meal wise. My older sister had to pick up the resposibilities.

  • I do consider them to be SAHM's. And the reason for that is because their schedules are usually more flexible so that they can work while their children are napping, and sometimes even stay in the room and work while they watch the kids.
