  • Can't you check on him without waking him? Sometimes they really conk out after a huge round of shots.

  • If you waited the 15 min after the shots with no reaction before he got his shots he should be fine. You can look at him and gently put your hand on his back to feel his temperature, but I wouldn't think you'd have to wake him. He'll have times he'll sleep a lot more (after shots, growth spurts, getting sick) and other times he won't sleep at all. It's just the unpredictablness (is that a word?) of babies for you. *hugs* Shots are rough on a kiddo but I'm sure he'll be fine. If you notice anything different once he wakes up then I'd call his Dr. If he gets a high temp just take him directly to the ER or Urgent Care.

  • Without doubt you need to check on him. Vaccines can have deadly reactions for some people/children and ANY abnormal activity - fever, sleep, vomiting, seizures, even headache or stomach ache should be watched closely because they can be warning signs of something bigger to come.

  • i would say check him but i wouldent wake him up. My dd is 20 months old and all of her needles she has had since she was born she always slept more then usual for 1 or 2 days..i think it would be best to let them sleep so they wont have to feel the pain in their little legs!
