What is one thing...

you try to teach your child(ren)?

Not anything like how to read or how to use the potty, but life skills and morals. What is the most important thing you try to instill in your child(ren)?

  • To always follow the Golden Rule: treat others as you wish to be treated. There's so many things that go into that, so if they keep that in mind I think they'll do ok. :-)

  • Honestly, to have empathy toward others. To try to understand how your own actions can affect how someone else can feel and to try to be kind even when it seems impossible. Basically...put yourself in the other persons shoes just to picture what its like for don't have to agree..just have to try to understand. Its a tough lesson...but my oldest gets it.
Well...until its ME..then he has no empathy at all! LOL

  • To be fair. Give people a chance and see. Treat people how you would want to be treated, with respect. It is also important to teach them that not all people are what they seem. Be on the look out. But it is true that with hard work and being a good person you can have or do just about anything you want. Nothing is given to you.

  • Be kind and respectful to other, respect people for who they are, follow your heart, never let anyone tell you that you "cant", work hard for the things you want, no matter what remain humble, realize that you're not better than the person next to you, there is no such thing as perfect. I preach it and I try to live by it.
