How long did it take your milk to dry up when you quit nursing?

Its been almost 3 days since i quit nursing. Today, they feel better tan they did yesterday. They still are sore and tender and humongous! So wondering how long it usually takes to dry up?

  • it took almost a year for it to completely dry up. but it wasnt painful after the first couple weeks.

  • okay maybe i should ask when the pain and engorgement went away.

  • about a week a wasnt engorged anymore, but very sore and tender for a couple weeks after.

  • ah okay.. im 3 days down!! they feel so much better than they did yesterday! ive been icing them and wearing fitted sports bras so they dont jiggle around lol.

    my right one is worse today than it was was yesterday but i think that was the side i gave her last.

  • im dry at least i think so and my son is 11months in four days.....

  • DD self weaned at 21 months so since it was so gradual I never had any pain or engorgement.
