Daddy you have been on my mind all the time
i close my eyes and i see you
when i go to bed i can't hear you
saying goodnight
i woke up today missing you
more than yesterday
daddy i almost can't remember your face
i look at your photograph
and i can remeber when we used to laugh
and play
i remeber when i cry in your shoulder
but where are your shoulder for me?
i know i'm not wasting my time
because the time we used to laugh
the memories came back to life
like it was yesterday
and you still in my heart
but daddy one think i wont regret
is calling you DADDy
you help me grow up
i hope when i go to heaven you are there
i hope i can cry with you
i want to know that i'm so sorry
the only man i will love is you daddy
i wish i could tell your the mistake i made
and explain to you the reason's
please don't hate me like mom do
please d

  • You wrote that poem from your heart, and I hope it will bring peace to your soul knowing there's hope when we believe that somehow, one day we'll get to heaven and we'll be able to embrace our loved ones again!!! If today your mom is alive you can try to talk to her and make peace. Sometimes it is not possible even if we try, in that case you can always remember that Christ love is as real, bigger, and wider than anything else that might be putting us down!

PS: Go over your poem again, you can use word edit and correct a few things here and there. I'm a poetry writer and editing is just part of it, it will also help you when you have ideas and want to explore them at another time. Journaling is a powerful healing tool! Big HUGS!

  • In my opinion, you can't go wrong when you speak from your heart. I think it's beautiful and it made me think of my Dad. He passed away almost 6 years ago, and I think of him every day!
