What do you think about the NAALCPs resolution that the Tea Party is racist?

This is crazy. This group is calling out the Tea Party to denounce racist elements in the tea party. Of course they will because there is NO rampant racism there. The Tea Parties have said this often. It's a totally political move/ Once again a group of Obama supporters stirrin gup trouble.
There are racists everywhere and many of them are in the NAALCP. They certainly have no room to talk.

  • I think that this is just a ploy. I think the NAACP is a completely racist organization that does NOTHING to help where the NEED is. They and al sharpton and Jesse Jackson show up where there are cameras or could BE cameras and make a huge stink! In the mean time they do nothing to help the AA communities that are struggling with high crime rates and diminishing family values. Have you listened to Bill Cosby?? The man makes SENSE! You cant APPROVE of rap lyrics that call women HORRIBLE things and justify cop killings and a culture where black boys believe the ONLY way they can succeed is to be a rapper or a ball player or a THUG and where black women are portrayed as little more than a piece of @ss!! THIS is where the work needs to be done. Not on silly referendums that brush a broad stroke over an entire organization that people KNOW it isnt ALL of them and just makes THIS group lose MORE credibility!

  • I think there are way more racists within the NAACP than there are in ALL of the Tea Party organizations AND affiliates combined.. Sure, there are bound to be a couple, but I believe that they are smart enough to keep their personal feelings to themselves when it comes to this issue. Now, if we could just get the NAACP to admit that just because someone opposes Obamas policy, that does NOT make them a racist. Is everyone who opposed Bush's policies, Clinton's policies, Reagan's policies, Nixon's, Carter's, Ford's, and so on, were THEY all racist? I doubt it. Talk about a double standard, here.

  • Seems to me pretty much every time Obamas ratings are get on the lower end the cries of racism start again.I think it is a tactic being used to take focus off of the real issues.

  • Read about this on NPR. The NAACP is asking the Tea Party to denounce the elements (aka people) that are racists within the tea party. Which there are some. In reply the Tea Party is out right calling the NAACP racist. Fun fun fun!

  • I think the NAACP is racist. "Colored People" have the ability to advance if they want to. Advancement in one's life is a CHOICE no one can make you feel inferior unless you let them.

  • We as Americans are free to accept or reject ANY statements or declarations etc. that are not binding laws or within the framework of our own beliefs or opinions. In short, if the NAACP approves this resolution it "don't make it so". And as for the Tea Party having racist elements, I am sure it does, as does any other segement of our massive population, but it is not the defining element.

  • I listened to a debate this morning about this issue this morning with Gretchen Carlson. The African-American lady who was discussing this said this is the "race card" politics being played in a very desperate move to try to win in Nov. They are trying to motivate a base that isn't buying it. She also said that the NAACP is a puppet organization (as of late) that is quite racist. She mentioned the NAACP is ignoring the Black Panther's on tape throwing around racial epithets; however, none have been produced from the allegations from the UHC vote. She really blasted the group during the debate.
