pre-qualifying for a house

I know this is different from being pre-approved, but this is the first step. I'm awaiting a call from the bank to get my part of it done. What will he ask? what will he do?

  • From what I know they ask questions about your income and what you pay in bills, credit info. like how many cards you have, if you have a checking account(if not get one you'll need it)

  • Its like the credit check part. He'll collect your personal information to see if you can, in fact, get a loan for the house. Being pre-approved is more formal than just "checking". It means you've actually applied for a loan.
