worried (tmi)

I'm almost 18 weeks pregnant and i'm have LOTS of thick mucus coming out of my vagina when i urinate. Is that normal?

  • When you are pregnant you have way more mucus than normal. Also you have more of a chance of getting a yeast infection. If it looks a little like cottage cheese, so they say, then its probably a yeast infection. You can buy a do it yourself test at the pharmacy. Vagisil is one brand and I believe Monistat makes them too. If positive let your Dr. know right away.
    Another thing that is common in pregnancy is bacterial vaginosis and that requires a prescription for antibiotics.
