Is a box of 40 something pull-ups enough to potty train my 2 year old?

I would like to get the one box and then just underwear after that.

  • The problem with allowing underwear while training your child to use the potty is that if they have an accident you will be cleaning up the mess from not getting to the potty on time or not telling you they have to go. You can't do that if you are out shopping or running an errand. Since the pullups are considered training pants, I would make sure my toddler was trained before considering underwear.

  • It depends on your child and how fast they grasp the concept of pottying.

  • I'd use them for night and use underpants for day. jump into it with both feet mama!

  • We are still wearing diapers but I imagine at the beginning the it is just like diapers so I will say no.

  • WE never used pullups just at night and underwear during the day.

  • I agree with butterflyblue, save the pull-ups for bed time. They train much faster when they are soiling their underpants.

  • Honestly, potty training is MUCH easier if you use cotton underwear. The Pull Up feels too much like a diaper and the child doesn't grasp the concept of use the potty not the diaper. Save your Pull Ups for overnight or naps.

  • Training pants are the better investment.

  • i potty trained my dd i started useing pull-up but i guess they felt too much like a pamper still, then someone told me to just use panties on and puts pull -up on her for naps and bedtime. she goes to the potty all day long unless i puts a pull-up on her! Good luck.
