Has anyones husband ever had problems with their testicles of any kind? Please explain.

My dh had to have an emergency surgery done 2 yrs ago because one of them got twisted. They were able to save it but we are unsure if it caused any damage. We are just now trying to have children. Has anyone else been through anything similar to this?

  • You shouldn't have a problem getting pregnant. Men have millions of sperm with every ejaculation. So he's down from 6 million to 3! My BIL only has one functioning testicle and he sired 2 kids.

  • No, the only thing my dh has gone thru is he is a 3x survivor of testicle cancer... he lost one to cancer, was told bc of treatment he would most likely never be able to have any more children, which is ok since we are raising a grandson who is now 9...LOL...
I have heard that most often there should be no problem having children after having a twisted testicle corrected...

  • I used to work in a urology office as an assistant. We had a couple of toersions come in, but I was never made aware of fertility after the fact. I would think, just based on my knowledge from working there, that after everything heals up, he should be producting sperm just fine. You could always pay $100 for a sperm analysis. :)

  • My ex husband had that same issue when he was a young teenager. He had surgery on it. We had no problem getting pregnant with our son.
