  • Yes it does. Yes it can affect you and your baby. You are correct it is not safe. I wouldn't advise it. There are other ways you can celebrate his birthday. Remember the uterus is highly vascular and the ecstacy (or any other drug) in the semen will be absorbed directly into your bloodstream and passed to the baby through the placenta.

  • It should not be a danger to you or your baby... just a red flag warning in your relationship with this guy.

  • It would be safer to end the relationship then to continue on with someone who is okay with using drugs.

  • I don't think it will be present enough in the semen to have any risk to you or the child.

but Ecstasy is a very dangerous drug, it increases the temp in the brain risking heat stroke and bleeding, decreases dopamine and serotonin that can not be renewed(brain only has a set amount) and causes one to crave water (because of the heat change) which if not monitored can lead to water toxicity and death. They have also compared MRI's of those who have taken Ecstasy w/ non users and show significant brain decay...where the brain develops holes in the neuron traffic.

    have fun

  • My answer was not judgemental, it was a fact. It very much indeed WOULD be safer for a woman who is with someone who does drugs to end the relationship. And no, I don't take any "nightly meds" as you have pre-judged.

  • yea sum people r so "perfect" hun u will hav to overlook their stupidity and uncaring concern.i was pregnant when i was 18 and didnt know it, i had takin sum ex at like 8wks preg and my daughter came out healthy and 9yrs later she is as healthy as it gets.beleive or not, there are ALOT of things women can do and no harm b caused.of course everything has risks.i cant stand people that smoke while pregnant when smoking is PROVEN to CAUSE CANCER AND LOW BIRTH WEIGHT BABIES AND infections.knowing that there is PROOF and not a possible RISK,women still smoke and in society its "ok'. its terrible
