  • If my child had to see a kidney specialist, I would think to ask:

    - how many times a day should my child be going to the bathroom?
    - how much water should my child be drinking a day?
    - should my child be avoiding sugary drinks?

    Good luck!

  • How taxed are the kidney's? scarring? where in the kidney is the damage
What is his present kidney function level~present of normal (like 50% 95%)
Is he spilling protein in his urine? what is the number? can I test at home.

    Blood? Sugar? in urine
What is his creatinine level~blood and urine

what are his potassium and sodium chloride levels like~any restrictions, phosphates (milk, ice cream)

    steriods? growth hormone? special formula?
