What to get for a graduation gift?

I'm looking for a graduation gift for my 18 year old nephew. I have no idea what to get.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

  • I'd say money, especially if he is going off to college. He can put it in the bank and save for something big or buy whatever he needs to take with him to college.

  • My 18 yo step brother just graduated and we got him a gift card to the local mall. Most of the gifts his mom (my step mom) suggested were kind of lame or more appropriate from her or an aunt/uncle or grandparent. He also got some towels and other things he'll need for dorm life in the fall. I got luggage which was handy, or maybe a really cool backpack he can use at college.
