Do you balance your checkbook on paper or online?

  • I was doing it on paper but now I do it on Excel. My husband set it all up for me so that it does the math and there's a column that corresponds with how much the bank says we have, since it takes awhile for checks to clear, so that I know we (me and the bank) are on the same page.

  • I do ours online, but I am getting ready to go back to paper. I guess I"m old fashioned :)

  • A combo of both. I'm always checking it online and recording things on the computer program we use to keep track of our spending habits. In addition I keep record in the paper ledger. However the only thing I really truly recorded in the paper ledger is checks and current balances.

  • I download info from my bank's website to my money management software program and the program will balance it for me. I haven't used paper in years, not even a check register.
