What is a good, inexpensive, basic cell phone plan?

We currently use Tracfone, but for some reason my phone has been deactivated, and I can't reactivate it online, and I refuse to call their CS and speak to someone in India that I can't understand what they're saying. I'm sick of Tracfone. I want to get a basic cell, with an inexpensive monthly contract, something that makes phone calls and texts, I don't need anything that will wash and wax my car or take my dogs for walks.
