  • Yep, but that's not new. All those polls that appear on your homepage? Answer them and that's market research too. The links? Click on them and they'll track who's looking at what - that's all market research. As well as the sponsored groups. And I'm sure I'm not listing it all!

  • Huh....interesting...

    I guess it's a pretty good marketing strategy. Although you'd think they'd us a random name and not their store name and logo for it. Either way though, wouldn't it be nice if they used all of that information to make sure their store was stocked up with everything you need so you can just go to one place and have it all be there?

    It works both ways. They make more sales, you get everything you need in one place.

  • This is not anything new at all. Kellogs' Poptart asked a few questions last summer. Playskool has there own group where they have given away tons of toys. K-Mart also has there own group too. I see no problem with it at all. Like the previous poster said you are not being forced to do. You can skip over it. If this is what it takes to keep cafemom free then so be it.
