Whats good to cook on the cheap for about 20 preteen/teenage boys some dads?

We have several boys and possibly a few dads staying with us over the weekend for a camp and Need ideas to fix for dinner ( problem is they don't always come in when you expect them to and trying to find something that that many people all like) Looking for ideas. Would like to try to keep the cost down as well as we usually foot the cost for all of it and it is tight sometimes.

  • Burgers, lasagna, meatloaf, shepherds pie, etc...basically anything you can make with ground beef. It's the cheapest meat and you can stretch it the farthest.

  • I make a tuna casserole made from noodles, tuna, and mushroom soup. You can make it with chicken too-
I make it for pot lucks and everyone loves it! even people who claimed to hate tuna a mushrooms.

  • Not sure if you mean you have to cook it at a campsite, but if not, what about lasagne? You could make it in those big tinfoil pans. Easy cleanup. Our Italian family has always made meatless lasagne, but you could add ground beef. Serve with salad and yummy rolls. Have fun!

  • Spaghetti w/red sauce, meatless bean & cheese burritos, tuna casserole, chicken fried rice, pan fried potatoes w/onions & kielbasa or smoked sausage (you only need a little bit of meat to make it taste good), Grilled cheese sandwiches & tomatoe soup, baked potatoe bar (you make a bunch of really big baker potatoes on the grill, then set up a "bar" of fixin's, like chili, butter, sour cream & chives, cheese sauce, ground beef & gravy, etc., pretty much whatever you like - b/c of the variety, you need less of each ingredient to feed everyone).

  • I have a few ideas but not necessarily all together. I assume you will be needing all three meal ideas. Chili. You can have it in a bowl or on top of hot dogs. Cheesy Potatoes, pancakes, corn, watermelon, nacho salad, bagels and cream cheese, tacos, bacon wrapped Smokey links, anything you would use for a graduation party. Good luck!
