  • Can you read some books to him while he sits on the potty to prolong the time he's there? He may not be quite ready but certainly is getting there. Keep things calm and keep at it. GL

  • get rid of the diaper and go to straight underwear. My son is also 19 months and we put him in underwear about 3 weeks ago. he hasn't had an accident in probably 2 weeks now. he wont poop on the potty though, those are our only accidents. try different pottys too. we tried 4 before finding the one he likes. he picked out the elmo potty, but wouldnt go on it in the potty seat on the floor, he wanted it on the big toilet so thats where it is and he loves it. he still wears pull ups when we go out though until i can get him to poop in the potty. good luck!
