My baby is constantly grunting. What does this mean?

I mean i usually feed her when she cries or I change her, but in between when she's awake and doesn't need anything she grunts alot. Is this normal or could there be something wrong?

  • My almost 2 year old has been doing this for a while. It's just a noise he makes, like blowing rasberries. He knows he can and apparently likes to so he does lol. It doesn't concern me but when he does it in public people look at him like there's something wrong with him lol. I wouldn't worry about it!

  • My daughter did that as a baby. She grunted more than she cried. There is probably nothing wrong, just making noise.

  • My son is a grunter too. He is 8 mo. now and has started full on growling at me. (like the dogs). So funny. Nothing wrong unless you're noticing other symptoms (my son has acid reflux but I don't think the two are related). They just like the fun sounds their voice can make. There will be lots of sounds this first year!

  • I think its normal. My son makes a whole lot of weird noises, grunting is just the beginning.
