why do kids play with there poop

how do u stop your kid from playing with his poop?

  • I had this problem with my son and thankfully not my daughter (who doesn't like to be dirty). He used to draw on the walls with is poop.

    There wasn't anything specific I did to get him to stop. I just cleaned it up and tried to get to him before he could get at the poop (it always seemed to happen after his nap). He eventually just stopped. He was a year old at the time so dicipline wouldn't have worked. I cried a lot though.

  • Curiosity. They don't have the "yucky" associations that we have. To them, it's a part of their bodies and they are curious about it.

    Just have him help clean up any messes and washing his hands.
