when you are voicing your opinion, does it matter what others think of you?

just asking, because sometimes when i voice my opinion on CM i get rude, snide remarks some even off subject. and when i reply to that remark, i always wonder "does that person totally hate me now?" lol. but that's just a part of me and i don't back down to my opinions.

  • Yes, because even if you don't know who I am, I know who I am. It matters to me because I respect myself and I respect you. I try to be kind even when I don't agree. Even when I am trying to let you know I think you are completely off base, I try to do it so it is your opinion I critique and not you.

  • No cause if they're going to judge me by my opinion then they need to get a life.

  • If I present my opinion in a polite, respectful manner, it's not my issue if someone else can not accept a differing opinion. I think it's the other's person's problem if they can not accept a differing opinion that was presented in a respectful manner.
