  • They'll do the normal that will be repeated at every appointment from here on out: weight, urine sample, blood pressure, temperature. They'll ask a butt-load of questions about your medical history. They'll ask some standard questions that, again, you'll hear at every appointment: any discharge/bleeding, any cramping/contracting, any nausea, headaches, dizziness, changes in vision, are you taking your prenatals, etc. And if you don't get an ultrasound at this appointment, they'll probably schedule one for you. Oh, and blood work.

  • Oh, and since you're past 12 weeks, they'll check the heartbeat with the Doppler device at each visit, too.

  • they will go through all your medical history, which will take a while. they will do basics like blood pressure, weight, listen to your heart, height, and possibly do a pap smear. some will do an ultrasound, some wont. probably check the heart beat and push on your belly some to check your fundus. my first opt took about 2 hrs.

  • u will have an exam "down there" and they will ask if u have ne questions, and then make an appointment to come back soon so u can have an ultrasound to see the baby and hear the heartbeat and check the measurement of the baby to confirm how far along you are!....gl

  • I didn't have any early pregnant symptoms with my first, and I had a perfectly healthy, full-term pregnancy and baby. Something that will help is hearing the heartbeat at each visit. A healthy heartbeat means a live baby. :)

  • no, that's all they do at the first visit for everyone. now they do alot of blood work and check you urine, weight and blood pressure. then they just feel your tummy and see if your uterus is growing and ask you if you have any questions or concerns. that's all
