what do the terms 'baby daddy' and 'baby momma' mean to you??

to me it means you have nothing together other than a kid. as in yes, we have a kid together, but we don't have a relationship anymore. am i right??

  • When I hear those terms I cringe because they sound so crass and low class.

  • i dont use baby daddy, i use my kids father, but we rarely mention him bc he wants nothing to do with them, my dh (their step dad) is dad to them

  • To me it means people stopped caring about using proper english. If you have a child from a previous relationship, you would say I have a child from a previous relationship. "Baby momma" and "Baby daddy" makes people sound less intelligent.

  • Sounds about right to me. I also think "trailer trash" or "ghetto ho," LOL>

  • why would it be "ghetto" if you aren't together and he is the father of your child it would be your "baby daddy"..... it's just a quicker way of saying "the father of my child."

  • I jokingly refer to myself as my exes "baby momma" when meeting people he knows or works with. It find it easier to joke that way than to say "I'm his ex wife."
