  • This is what the Red Cross recommends

This is something I keep meaning to do as well. I plan on writing the expiration date for the foods on a piece of paper that I leave on the top of the kit and then when it gets close to expiring, donating those items and then restocking. My husband has a camp stove and I plan on buying granola bars and canned foods. We rarely eat canned food so that is why I will donate them before they expire rather than just throw them out.

  • I don;t understand your question? Why would you need Vodka in an Emergency Room backpack--why do you need a backpack at all?!

  • I'm thinking if you need to leave the house with a major emergency~Earthquake? Fire?
I have baby tylenol for pain, major first aide pack with burn patches and anti bleed patches, light sticks, moon blankets, marker, flash flights, socks......

    I need food ideas....
