"Girl, you got to put your foot down......"

I see that phrase everywhere on CM. What in the world do you mean, "put your foot down?" It's not like DH is a child and needs correction. Just how do you "put your foot down" on a grown adult?? Seriously.

you wait until they are on the ground and then
when they least expect it...step on their throat
they get the hint really fast that you mean business

  • Just don't let them run over you. State your opinion on things and don't let him or anyone else run your life.

But yeah, I feel the same way. I can't make him do anything.

  • "putting your foot down" may need to be difined. To me it means refusing to let people run over me. Not kids, not work and not a spouse. I watched my Mother let my Father run over hers for years. I did it as a young adult. No More. My brother told me one time "you grew a pair of balls finally"
