if you had a minature horse compared to regular sized horse, do they eat the same amount of hay?

im trying to figure about how much i would be spending on feeding a minature horse compared to a regular sized horse.

  • A miniature horse will eat about a flake of hay a day, sometimes two, but if they have access to good pasture, they'll eat less hay. You can also give them some grain, about a pint or so a day, but miniature horses tend to get overweight easily, so the grain isn't really necessary and is better reserved as an occasional treat.
