What would be a reason that a person would have 2 miscarages after having a healthy baby?

I have a beautiful 4 year old daughter. About 2 years after she was born my husband and i decided to try for another baby. Well i got pregnant but a few weeks later i lost the baby. Then a year after that misscarage i had another misscarage. We have been trying but still no success in getting pregnat. My question is what would be the reason why this could happen twice in less then 2 years?

  • i'm not sure what the answer is, but i know that about 25% of woman experience at least one miscarriage. and that a second or third is unlikely unless there is a medical condition.
Have you discussed it with your doctor.

  • There is no real reason unless there is something wrong in that department. I knew someone that had 4 miscarriages and then a healthy baby and then has had 3 more miscarriages.

  • I'd start googling. Your body can change with pregnancy. I've know people to develop conditions with pregnancy and others where they go away.

One thing to consider is Progesterone; if you are not producing enough the pregnancy won't last

  • You're not alone in this, I have a SIL that had a healthy baby then had 6 miscarriages in a 3 year span. the docs couldn't really explain what was wrong. she had another healthy baby 4 years after the first one.

  • My grandma had 5 miscarriages before my dad, then shortly after my dad had my uncle. My mom had a friend who was a nail tech who had 7 miscarriages. When she quit doing nails she had 2 successful pregnancies.

  • My sister had a healthy baby got pregnant and had a miscarriage then got pregnant and had a healthy baby, then got pregnant and had a miscarriage, then had two more healthy pregnancy's after that, I heard miscarriages are caused for different reasons, like genetic, uterine or hormonal abnormalities, reproductive tract infections, and tissue rejection. I'd keep trying if I was you.
