  • My SIL had a High Risk pregnancy. She was told not, under any circumstances, to try and quit smoking while pregnant. They told her that the stress on her body could cause a miscarriage and that stop smoking aids were less dangerous, but could still cause miscarriage...

  • it will be stressful, but your brain will start to make the feel good stuff without the tobacco doing for you~think of that placenta shrinking with every smoke..I bet you can do this! get a rubber band and put it on your wrist and snap it when the smoke feeling is bugging~it only a thought ~it will pass~

  • unless you have been advised not to, I would think that quitting smoking is the right thing to do- consider all the poisons you will be saving your baby. Not to mention all the other problems it causes.

  • Please talk to your doctor.

  • wow... i am so often amazed at what doctor's will recommend.
if you are concerned about your baby you will find another way to relax. the mind is a very powerful tool and will help you get through the cravings if you put the effort into it, otherwise... smoke away, i mean what's the worse thing that can happen? premature baby with asthma, low birth weight, etc?? that's all. just make sure you have good insurance to cover the cost of NICU.
