  • I think I don't get a say in what France does. We have enough problems here.

  • I don't think they should be banned. But if a woman doesn't want to wear one, she shouldn't have to. But if a woman WANTS to wear it, a ban on them would be against her own freedoms.

  • I think they should be banned everywhere. They could be hiding explosives in there for crying out loud.

  • No body should be forced to dress a way they don't want. If they want to wear them let them.

  • France makes their own laws the US has no say nor should we. I keep hearing how we should stay out of other countries business until its something like this then we should be making a fuss..... "Who cares if Saddam tortured his own people, we aren't the world police?!" "Oh NO UK has a Burqa ban we shouldn't tolerate this!!!" Gotta love the hypocrites.

  • Shouldn't Muslim females have a say in what they wear?   Yes they should but their own religion and family members have taken away that right.

Did France adopt our constitution? I never saw it on the news.

  • It's a little bit silly to defend this action by saying France has a different constitution than the US. Of course we are aware, this is merely an opinion being asked.

Of course I say it is up to the woman. If she comes from a very oppressive family who forces her to wear it against her will, a law like this will absolutely NOT help, but will create a lot of problems. The way to help women is with education, opportunities, and access to resources, not making a LAW about what she should wear, or not wear.
