  • couscous salad. Cooked plain couscous chilled. While it's chilling mix together. a lot of fresh basil, diced tomatoes, halved black olive slices, finely chopped green onion, balsamic vinegar and olive oil. add more of what you want as to taste once combined.

  • I think caesar salad goes with everything.

My mum made an awesome salad last night with a bunch of odds and ends. There were mixed greens, broccoli slaw, peppers, tomatoes, cucumber, slivered almonds and blueberries

  • I like a can of black beans, drained and rinsed with an equal amount of corn, a diced tomato, half an onion, and half a bell pepper all cooked together in a little tomato paste thinned out just enough to make a super yummy sauce. Spice it how ya like it. Yum!

  • Grill the corn on the cobb with husk and silk still on. Cut off the tip and only a couple of the husk and throw it on the grill on high heat for about 20-25 mins, turn them every now and then but they are super easy. I take mine off and wrap them up in foil till the rest of our food is done. I do not cook them in foil the husk and silk protect the corn and makes it moist but not gummy. I felt silly because I just learned how to cook corn on the grill and it is soooo easy.

  • ~Cucumber salad:
    Cucumbers sliced VERY thin
    Onions sliced even thinner
    Container of sour cream
Mix all together, salt to taste.
Let sit in fridge for at least an hour so the flavors blend well. Also, istead of just mixinf with a spoon, if you use your CLEAN hands to squeeze the cucumber and onion slices together (before sour cream goesin of course) it does taste even better!

    ~Corn on the cob
    ~Light pasta salad
~Chips and dip never go wrong!! :)
