A late start

Looking to start a winter garden. I live in small apartment though, with two destructive little boys so the garden will have to be outside.
What sort of veggies can i plant that will withstand the winter? It does not typically snow here where i live. But often does get in the low 30's during the winter.

  • Broccoli, cabbage, kale, collard, spinach, lettuce...... basically just about any greens. Good luck! I want to do a winter garden for the first time this year, too. It's way too early here.

  • Wish I could help you. I live in Minnesota and nothing grows here in the winter. We freeze our butts off.
