What's worse... having expectations that are too high, or having no expectations at all?

  • Being an Army wife I have learned to not have expectations. Nothing ever happens the way you expect it to. I do, however, have goals and work to reach them.

  • I think having expectations that are too high is bad because you will never be happy or satisfied. If you have no expectations, then you should always be happy and satisfied and have nothing to complain about!!!

  • No expectations at all. Sometimes when people have high expectations and it don't turn out how they expected it to be, they tend to get disappointed and get depressed. When you have no expectations that way there will be no disappointments and always room to go up from there, JMO.

  • None at all is worse. You and those around you have nothing to shoot for. If they're too high, at least you will make it higher than no where. It reminds me of something someone said when I was in school.
    "Shoot for the moon. At least if you don't make it, you'll still land among the stars" or something like that. I love that. :-)
