How long before trying to conceive should I get off birth control?

I know it is not guaranteed, but I want to try the shettles method for a girl. (Don't worry I'd love another boy too!) So I want to track my cycles for a while. How long would it take to get a good idea of my cycles? I know the birth control regulates your cycles so I'd have to be off.

  • my bc pills were out on the 6th and I just didn't start my new pack. we are ttc #5 right now :) I know I more than likely won't get pregnant right away, but we are having fun trying!! Good luck to you and sticky baby dust!!

  • 3-4 cycles should be sufficient given that you have no fertility issues.

If you want a girl, i'll give you some of my eggs! We're expecting our 4th, and i'm convinced mine repel XY sperm! lol.
