Why are Americans becoming more pro-life?

Apparently, a number of polls over the past year have shown that for the first time in decades a majority of Americans label themselves as pro-life. Sorry, I don't have a link, if interested you can google it yourself. Just wondering, what do you think is going on in society to cause this shift in sentiment?

  • While I can't answer for all Americans, I can answer for myself. I used to be pro-choice and am now pro-life. My shift was caused by my increasing faith in God and adherence to his commandments. Nothing is mentioned in his commandments about rape or unplanned births.

  • idk..if i were to wager, i'd say they were becoming more pro-choice, as its not PC to tell anyone how to live their lives or what to do with their bodies..except for their $5/pack habit. (sorry, still thinking about another post.)
as for me, i was pro-life, then pro-choice, but really, still pro-life. go figure!

  • I think it seems that more Americans are pro-life because more Americans are becoming more conservative and more times than not those two are linked.

  • I have no idea why that would be. I'm not "pro life" I'm "pro choice"!

  • I don't recall them asking me my stance on the issue. Polls mean diddly squat. Unless they ask every single US citizen their opinion, thy can't GET an accurate number of people who stand on either side.
