Exercise Question

I was just curious if anyone knows if it is bad to exercise right before bed?

Running is the exercise in question? I have bee running 2 miles showering and then going to bed and Hubby has planted the seed in my head that maybe it isn't a good idea :)

  • It it makes you hyper and sleepless then it is not a good idea, otherwise, you will be still burning calories in your sleep.

  • not a bad idea really but exercise is known to release endorphins that can make it difficult to fall asleep.

  • as long as you do a cool down/stretches, i don't see what the problem is. at least you're getting 2 miles/day in!

  • I work out all the time before bed I vary my workouts maybe you just need to do some mornings and some nights?

  • If I do it during the day it does seem to give me energy but if I wait til 9:30 when I have been doing it I come home exhausted!!!

    But I like to run in the dark......hee hee kinda scary yet!!!

  • I'd eventually like to move it to running in the AM. But like I said I am a fluffy girl and no one wants to see that ;)
