  • I started with an even dozen when I used them. It worked for me, but I had to replace when they got too stained...

  • I started out with a dozen - we started using them when our daughter was 2 months old. We have a giant stash now, but a dozen was perfect to start with.

  • I had 10 Kushies diapers and liners. I started using them when my dd was 8 months old. I would use disbosables at night or if we were going out for a long period. You have to get use to dunking them when messy and doing the wash every day or every other day.

  • My daughter is 11 months old. I have 17 prefolds (had 18, but my husband stole one for something else) and 12 pockets. I could probably do fine with 24 total, though. I use the prefolds around the house and the pockets when we are out and about and sometimes at night. I wash every other day.

  • There are so many different kinds, I would recommend buying a few of each of a few different kinds. Different people LOVE different kinds, depending on whether your child is a heavy wetter, boy or girl, slim or chunky, etc etc. But watch out, you will love them, and they can become an obsession! Check out one of the cloth diaper groups on CM and ask questions :o)
