What does my dream mean?

I had a dream last night that my SIL gave my 7 yr old DD a cigarette and let her smoke it....what do you think it means?

(My dh and I DO NOT smoke).

  • Maybe you feel like your SIL is a bad influence on your child, at least on a subconcious level. In your dream, your SIL is urging your innocent baby into doing something bad, encouraging her and allowing the bad behavior to continue.

Either you really do not trust your SIL (esp w/ your DD) or you ate something weird for dinner last night.

  • It means that you don't trust your SIL to do what is best for your child.

  • I think you probably saw something about cigarrettes recently and it stayed in your sub-concious. Then, in your dream what you saw played out like it did. I don't think it has any real meaning. It was just a strange dream.

  • was there anything else in the dream or is that it?

  • It could mean that you have trust issues with your SIL. It could also mean that your 7 year old is going through a phase that you find frustrating. It could also mean that you have doubts about the way you're raising your child.

I read a lot of dream books.. that's pretty much what they would tell you.

  • Is your SIL someone who does things you don't approve of?

  • Oooooo good interpretation Bmat! I agree, sounds like you dont trust her or are worried about her influence on your dd maybe?

  • Generally dreams are just made up of mixed stuff you've seen, heard, or thought about during the day. I don't think it really means anything.

  • I would have to say a trust issue as well.
