  • 1yr. the day she turned 1 I threw her bottles away and made her have the sippy. I worked with her on the sippy for a month previous so it wasnt horrible to get her off of it, it took 1 day.

  • only put water in the bottle. Give him his juice and milk in the sippy. He will soon realize that the sippy has the better tasting stuff in it!

  • My son was 8 1/2 months. My mom and dad let me keep my bottle until I was 4 1/2 y/o and I have always had bad teeth from it. So I really didn't want that happening to my son. But Honestly I think that is the best way to do it. Don't let them keep it so long that they get overly attached to it. I started out with soft straw cups and my son did wonderful, so I just stopped giving bottles all together.
And if your son is 2 1/2 just tell him you are sending the bottles to babies who need them. And throw every single one in your house away. That way you can't go back to it as a last resort. Just keep giving the cups, he may be mad over it for a while but he wont go thirsty long.
