  • breastfeed while on your trip, and then watch how your baby reacts to the food you eat when you get there. if you think your baby needs to be on formula when you're there, then so be it, buy it while you're there. i say breastfeed on the plane, because you can't bring opened formula on the plane, and then you have to get room temp water after you go through security since you can't bring drinks. if you do decide to feed your LO formula, make sure you bring it unopened (enfamil has the travel packs that i found are AWSOME) , and buy a water asap so the next time it's time for your LO to eat, it's not too cold. • You CAN bring formula on the plane. I have been flying with my son since he was 2 months old. Just tell security you have it packed. We live in Miami, and fly from there, with no issues.

  • well then i guess it depends on the airline you use. they made a GF of mine throw her whole can away because it was opened. check the airline's rules.

  • Airlines have no say in it, its a federal law that anyone travelling with an infant is allowed to bring a "reasonable amount" of formula in form, open or not, onto a plane. You're friend must have been dealing with an employee that didn't know what they were doing.
